The Alabama SBDC Network works closely with many incubators located throughout Alabama, and is a member of the  National Business Incubator Association (NBIA).  Incubator clients frequently take advantage of incredible knowledge base that exists in our statewide small business Network.  Our business advisors can connect you with the incubator that will best fit your needs.  Most incubators offer a range of business support, including low-rent space, shared office services, access to funding sources and more.

Northeast Alabama Entrepreneurial System (Anniston)
A business incubation program for start-up service and light manufacturing businesses. Supports business ideas from the early stage of company development until the graduation stage of growth. Contact: Giles McDaniel, Executive Director.

Auburn Business Incubator (Auburn)
The ABI is developing into a full-service, mixed-use business incubator with the overall mission of assisting start-up and early stage companies in being successful by linking them to a network of services from university and community sources.  The SBDC at Auburn University maintains at office at this location, to better server incubator clients, and for a convenient near-campus meeting space.

Bessemer Business Incubation System (Bessemer)
A full service business development organization providing space and services to those businesses participating in the service, light industrial/manufacturing, wholesale/distribution and information.  Upon graduation, the BBIS along with the local industrial development board can either build a facility or move the graduate to one of eight (8) industrial parks in the Bessemer area.

The Innovation Depot (Birmingham)
The Depot is a business incubation facility and program that focuses on the development of emerging biotechnology/life science, information technology and service businesses.  The Alabama SBDC Network has an office at the Depot, and has business advisors, international trade specialists, procurement specialists, and small business financing exports on hand to help tenants.  The Depot earned the NBIA Tech Incubator of the Year award in 2011.  It can help you identify financing sources and initiate contacts for strategic partnerships and business alliances. Its staff of internationally-known business incubation experts consults with tenants on budgeting, business plan development, formulation of marketing plans and strategies, distribution logistics, and intellectual property protection issues.

Decatur-Morgan Entrepreneurial Center “E-Center” (Decatur)
The primary purpose of the E-Center is to encourage, enthuse and empower new and small businesses as tenants and non-tenants of the E-Center facility and to ensure successful start-up and continued growth. We are located in close proximity to the Tennessee River, Rail service and the Interstate system.

Business Technology Development Center Inc – BIZTECH (Huntsville)
A technology incubator designed to help small companies develop emerging technologies for the global marketplace. Provides mentoring, access to investors, training, a ready-made network of contacts, and an array of business support services designed to improve clients’ likelihood of success.

Business Innovation Center (Mobile)
The Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence is dedicated to the promotion of entrepreneurship and self-determination in Entrepreneurial Economic Development through the exploration and implementation of innovative concepts of enterprise stimulation, start-up and growth.

Shoals Entrepreneurial Center – SEC (Florence)
As a business incubator, we offer shared space, equipment and resources in a controlled-overhead environment. Because those costs are controlled, start-up businesses can allocate more of their limited resources to other things that will help the business grow.

The EDGE Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Tuscaloosa)
The Edge is looking to provide a maturing environment for existing or potential businesses. The Edge’s working environment caters to individuals who already have existing businesses or individuals who only have business propositions and need assistance in getting a business up and running. The Edge will lead you in the right direction, considering any aspects pertaining to small business development.

Wiregrass Incubator Alliance (Southeast Alabama)
The Wiregrass Incubator Alliance (WIA) supports new and growing businesses in Southeast Alabama by offering a wide variety of business training, support programs, flexible leases and shared equipment in professional working environments.  The WIA is composed of five incubators serving a nine-county region that includes Barbour, Coffee, Crenshaw, Covington, Dale, Geneva, Henry, Houston, and Pike counties. The WIA is sponsored by the Southeast Alabama Council for Economic Development (SEACED).

Pike County Economic Development Corporation (Troy)
The Pike County Center for Economic Development is a small business incubator located on US 231 South in the Troy Industrial Park South. This facility serves as a business incubator for entrepreneurs, and start-up small businesses, and serves as the home of the SBDC at Troy University. The Center consists of office space, manufacturing pods, a technology pod, training rooms and a conference room. It also serves as the new home for the Pike County Economic Development Corporation (PCEDC).

Round House (Opelika)
Round House is a collaborative startup space with three main areas of concentration for developers, designers, entrepreneurs, founders, startups and creatives: coworking, incubation, & acceleration.  In addition to these three main offerings Round House serves as a space for user group meetups, speakers, seminars and more.
