International trade has helped to revolutionize Alabama’s economy over the last 25 years.  Each year, more and more small to medium-sized businesses start exporting their products and services to foreign buyers, or they optimize their supply chain by tapping into vendors from around the world.

In an effort to grow Alabama’s economy, the University of Alabama has hosted the Alabama International Trade Center since 1979.  The AITC provides no-cost, confidential, one-on-one assistance to Alabama’s small business community.  The experienced team at AITC can provide export market research and strategic market selection, assistance with trade financing, evaluation of distribution / logistics options, and website internationalization & optimization.
