Cutter’s Pizzeria & Wings
Cutter’s Pizzeria: Serving the community one slice at a time
Cutter’s Pizzeria & Wings is a pizza parlor in the small northeast Alabama town of Alexandria. It is a family-owned restaurant with strong ties to the community and a dedication to serving appetizing pizza in new and fun ways, especially multiple types of crust. The business opened its doors in 2019. Since then, they have been able to expand to a second location in Oxford, Alabama and have started catering local events. In 2020, one of the co-owners, Dalton “Cutter” Goode reached out to the SBDC at Jax State for help with managing his business and general business advice. Since this time, the SBDC has had a strong relationship with Cutter’s and has advised the business on several key issues. Dalton recently spoke about how the SBDC has helped his business over the years:
“The Alabama SBDC at Jax State has been a great resource for starting and growing my business over the years. Their support has been consequential to my business operations.”
Constantly striving to make a positive impact with events, sponsorships, partnerships, and supporting other local, small businesses and nonprofits, Cutter’s believes that putting community and partners at the center of their business model is the way to grow the business and continuously contribute. They have committed to a minimum wage $3 higher than the state minimum wage, ensure 100% of their staff have health insurance, Paid Time Off, Mental Health Resources, and Unlimited Requests Off. They have offered scholarships to college students and with the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce their staff get 20% off for Jacksonville State University Student tuition.
Cutter’s is a strong business in its community with hopefully more expansions and creations in the years to come. The SBDC at Jax State will be available to Cutter’s through it all!
